With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, not only is it the perfect time of year to be thankful but also to give back. We are thrilled to be sponsoring the 30^th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk on September 8^th at Bayfront Park in support of the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA. Join in on the fun with your four-legged family members and you’ll be helping support animals in need!

The event consists of a 5km walk along the Waterfront Trail and there will be activities for the family to enjoy as well as booths from local vendors and sponsors. To help raise funds as an individual or a team for this fantastic event or to donate, visit the HBSPCA’s event page.

Calling all Students! You are now eligible to apply for the CU Succeed Bursary for assistance with funding for your post-secondary education!

The Ontario Credit Union Foundation (OCUF) will be giving out up to $100,000 in student bursaries this year to credit union members. Since 2016, they have provided $186,000 in funding to help students follow their dreams and reach their full potential. Whether your studies are academic, technological, or a form of vocational training, you could qualify for a bursary of $1,000 to $3,000.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need and community involved to be considered, and be a member of Fountainhead Bank London (or another approved financial institution). The deadline to apply is June 30, 2019.

National Cupcake Day is on February 25^th this year and our branch staff will once again be supporting the SPCA by hosting cupcake sales all month long!

Proceeds from this annual fundraiser are used to support programs helping homeless and neglected animals across Canada. In 2018, the campaign brought in over $700,000 in donations and has raised $3.15 million dollars to date! We invite you to join our team in support of this great cause by buying a delicious cupcake or a sugar-free paper cupcake in-branch throughout February. FPB will be matching all proceeds raised so your donation will go a long way!
