Position: Enhanced Member Service Representative
Level 2, Temporary Full Time

Location: Oakville

This position is responsible for delivering on the Member facing operations and support of other functions within the Branch. The Enhanced Member Service Representative is also responsible for the opening and closing of the branch, treasury operations and the first point of escalation in resolving Member issues.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary service to Members, including selling and cross selling FPB products to fit the Members’ needs.
  • Ensure all daily tasks are completed on time and accurately.
  • Responsible for the cash and risk management of the front line, including maintaining a cash drawer to service Members and managing treasury.
  • Be aware of the targets as defined in the annual budget and work to meet these targets.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service to Members through full use of in branch telephone, e-mail, Internet facilities and in the branch.
  • Ensure adherence to FPB procedures, policies and guidelines.
  • Complete Daily Audit Package and follow up on any concerns that are found.
  • Attend staff meetings prepared to read internal and external communications and report main issues at staff meetings.
  • Report any risks associated with FPB to management.
  • All other related duties and projects as assigned.

There is a component of sales in this position including outbound calling for renewals and business retention and promotional and campaign awareness. This position requires flexibility, the will to provide a full range of services in a prompt and courteous manner, and an appetite to resolve issues as a team player in a timely way.
Standards (To be achieved by the end of the probationary period)

  • Minimum 90% understanding of the credit union’s policies, procedures, guidelines, business objectives, products and services and consistent application of the same
  • High quality abilities in sales and service, organization, decision making, problem solving with resolution, time management, keyboarding, policy interpretation, verbal and written communication, presentation skills, excellent balancing of cash and treasury, and working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Position: Solution Center – Member Service Representative
Level 2, Full Time Union

Location: Fountainhead Bank London, Hamilton and/or Oakville

Overview: This is an entry level position in the banking world that will provide you with exposure and experience in a wide variety of client facing, and back-office, functions. This hybrid role is composed of a part-time function in the Solution Centre, where as a team member you will carry out back-office type functions and field calls to the call centre, and a front line function, where you will liaise with our membership directly to help with their daily banking needs. In particular:

Solution Centre:

  • Handling all service inquiries coming into the Credit Union from Members;
  • Analyzing needs and assisting Members to utilize the product or service which best meets those needs;
  • Cross-selling deposit, investment and lending products to Members and prospective Members;
  • Supporting the office of the CFO with clearing, ledgering, accounting and other functions; * Assist in the adjudication of loans;
  • Estate Administration; and * Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. Member Service Representative:
  • Filling in for front line staff at all branches during illness, vacations and other absences; * Banking system transactions in the form of cash, cheques, term deposits, registered accounts, loan payments, money orders, and foreign currency. * Provide prompt and courteous service and to resolve issues in a timely manner regardless of in person, over the phone or by email.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Member Service Representative:

  • Filling in for front line staff at all branches during illness, vacations and other absences;
  • Banking system transactions in the form of cash, cheques, term deposits, registered accounts, loan payments, money orders, and foreign currency.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service and to resolve issues in a timely manner regardless of in person, over the phone or by email.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
